Description
Apalachicola Museum of Art. 2 of the many faces of oyster shuckers. This is in Apalachicola at 2mile. The blue machine has a 'tooth' that will crack the oyster shell in just the right spot to make opening and shucking easier. Each shucker owns their own tool and it usually leaves with them when their shift is over.. There is a chute in the wall directly in front of them to throw the shells, which end up in a heap outside the building (there are usually 8 - 10 chutes), where the seagulls have lunch!
